Cheltenham vs New Zealand - 6th November 1905
Stroud Auctions Ltd recent sale on Wednesday 7th September caught the eyes of many keen collectors, firstly because of their incredibly low guide prices. The star LOTs in the sale were two Original All Blacks tour programmes from the matches played against Cheltenham (6-11-1905) and against Gloucester (19-11-1905), anyone hoping for a bargain was sadly mistaken for these two highly sought after programmes. The Cheltenham programme sold for £1600 hammer and was bought by one of our members and the Gloucester programme sold for £2100 hammer.
For this sale the buyer’s premium was 18% (exc VAT), For those who used the saleroom to bid live there was an additional fee of 5% (exc VAT).

Stroud Auctions commission was at 15% plus VAT. There is also a £2 fee (per lot) and 1% limited liability (insurance).
The 1905 Cheltenham v New Zealand programme
Sold for £1600 hammer (£1945.60 inclusive of buyers premium and VAT)
Approximately £1290.80 to go to the vendor after sellers fees taken off
The 1905 Gloucester v New Zealand programme
Sold for £2100 hammer (£2553.60 inclusive of buyers premium and VAT)
Approximately £1694.80 to go to the vendor after sellers fees taken off
