A Bev Risman match worn England Jersey from the Haydn Morgan collection. This Jersey was swapped Haydn after the 1961 international between Wales and England played at Cardiff Arms Park. Wales won the match 6 points to 3, thanks to two tries by Welsh wing Dewi Bebb and England’s try coming from Harlequin John Young.

Salford born Bev Risman is the son of League legend Gus Risman, who would likewise go onto have a distinguished career, earning 8 England Caps & 4 Lions Tests in the amateur code. He turned professional in 1961, signing for Leigh. He changed clubs and moved to Leeds where he won the Challenge Cup and Championship. He would also represent England & Great Britain ‘Captaining GB in the 1968 RWC’.
