.Welsh Rugby Greats: The same format, but this time the Western Mail issued 16 A5 cards, 11 of which are black and white, with a great picture of a famous player, from our own late Bleddyn Williams in the 1950s through to Neil Jenkins in 2000, backed by a fact file and lengthy pen portrait on the rear of each. Mint polypocket album once again. Go for it!


Bill McLaren: Marvellous pair of memorabilia items remembering the life and passing of the unforgettable Voice of Rugby, Bill McLaren of Hawick, Scotland and the World! Mint copies of the brochure from his Funeral Service on 25th January 2010, and of the poem by Hawick dialect humorist and poet Ian Landles, written to mark Bill's retirement from the microphone in 2002. A joy to read, and to own, and many thanks to Gary Alexander for donating them. Reasonable reserve.

Lions 2001: Mint edition of Wales on Sunday/The Western Mai's smart red plastic wallet containing 40 full cover action photographs of the players and management of the Lions' tour to Audtralia in 2001. These were only obtainable by collecting and submitting press tokens. Neat, compact, and attractive! Thanks to Brian Maggs for donating this and the next two items.

 

Awesome All Blacks: Four pocket-size volumes, 14 cm x 11 cm, from a 12 volume New Zealand series on great All Blacks of the 1990s. Available here as one lot are those on Justin Marshall, Josh Krenfeld, Andrew Mehrtens and Glen Osborne. Lively, colourful and fact-filled with stats and spaces for autographs. Once again, mint condition and a real bargain.Thanks to Paul Northey.

Graham Henry's Wales: Similar idea, but larger format in a mint see through plastic 'polypocketed' album, 12 A5 cards in full colour with lively descriptions tracing the first three years of 'The Great Redeemer's'(?) reign over Welsh Rugby. Fine images of iconic and amusing moments and super players, as well as Henry himself and Steve Black. Lovely productions, here's your chance to own them without having had to do the token collecting!
