The Rugby Memorabilia Society’s second Members’ Publication
• For this, their second volume, the RMS saw some eighty of their members responding to the request to find items from their or their club’s memorabilia so that, in total, every one of the 150 years between the RFU’s 1871 formation and today would be covered. That was achieved, sometimes with more than one artefact.
• The result is a rich and colourful range and variety of objects from the rugby game, including kit, caps, ties, cards of all sorts, menus, autographs, balls, prints, ceramics, tickets, programmes, trophies, photographs, pins, flags, books, posters and more from all over the ‘oval’ world.
• From an idea by Ray Ruddick and Steve Bennett, edited by Phil Atkinson, beautifully designed by Dick Tyson and finished by Davies Printers, the Old Bakehouse, Abertillery, this glossy 76-page A4 production in full colour is available for £12 inc postage & packing in the UK, £10 plus more p & p on qutation for overseas.
• Very well-received by members (including both contributors and otherwise!), copies are available from Phil Atkinson, firstname.lastname@example.org or 07813 459743 or 48 Barrack Hill, Newport, NP20 5FY. Suggestions as to content or themes for future such offerings are warmly invited from members by the committee.
